OPENING was established in the heart of Marseille with a singular mission: to bridge the gap between emerging artists and the professional art world. Our first studio sessions focused on providing plastic artists with the tools and visibility needed to launch their careers in the contemporary scene.

Recognizing the fluid nature of creation, we expanded our scope to include music, dance, and digital arts. This period marked the launch of our first cross-disciplinary festivals, transforming urban spaces into living galleries where design and performance converged to engage the public.

In response to global shifts, we pioneered virtual residency programs and digital exhibition platforms. By integrating video and new media into our core development strategy, we ensured that our community of artists remained connected and visible during a time of physical isolation.

Ten years later, OPENING stands as a pillar of cultural innovation. With over 100 artists supported and dozens of international partnerships established, we continue to facilitate access to contemporary creation while strengthening the professional foundations of the next generation.
